I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, before I realized that it is best loved from afar. I packed everything into a beaten down Buick and relocated to Los Angeles.
Before fleeing my hometown, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Akron, where I studied professional, business, fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, and script writing.
Outside of the classroom, I was a member of the university’s television station, Z-TV, where I contributed to the sketch comedy show Akron After Hours as a writer, actor, and editor. Our show was awarded a Lower Great Lakes Regional Emmy for Outstanding Student Production. I also produced two live music events that raised hundreds of dollars for The Wounded Warrior Project and NEOPAT.
After graduation, I produced low budget passion projects by myself and with friends, primarily comedic/satirical sketches before deciding to move to Los Angeles to do the exact same thing. I have also wrote, acted, and produced several comedic sketches with friends at Nerdist and Youtube Studios.
In Los Angeles, I have worked professionally as a production assistant on television commercials and online advertising campaigns, as well as a production assistant and a small acting role in the short film Juncture. I also worked as a boom operator for the independent film What Lies West, and as a writing consultant for the game show app Ripkord TV.
